  2. ChkDOBBS Version Update - 1.0 To 1.5; What's New?

  4. Since 1.0, I've discovered that my sample EXEBBS.BAT wasn't working. The 
  5. reason:

  11. This was the original statement, it now reads:

  17. Note that it NOW returns to EXEBBS.BAT -after- executing Wildcat. So make sure
  18. you load FrontDoor back up right after that statement.

  20. Reviewing the Wildcat 3.0 manual, "Features In Depth", I've discovered that
  21. when an error correcting connection exists the correct parameter is "MNP",
  22. and not "/MNP". This was causing Wildcat to count ChkDOBBS's "/MNP" as an
  23. invalid parameter. This is now fixed.

  25. Lastly, the Event Control function in ChkDOBBS is didn't work. Until the next
  26. release, the Event Control function has been temporarily removed from ChkDOBBS.

  28. Besides those bugs, I've just changed the "status dot" to ASCII 16. You might
  29. have noticed the status dot when your screen read:
  30.  
  31. (DOT) Reading DOBBS.BAT...
  32. or
  33. (DOT) Writing CALLWC.BAT...
  34.  
  35. The dot is now ASCII 16, this character:

  37. I think I have corrected all bugs in version 1.0, and hope that all problems
  38. are hereby resolved. The one other thing that has changed, is where to get
  39. support for ChkDOBBS. I had been referring users to a local board, where I
  40. could log on and read my messages. Since I've been writing my own BBS 
  41. software, which I am planning to sell or release (haven't decided), all
